Eagles were forced to start shorthanded. This allowed Oriental SC to gain considerable advantage. Two goals lost early in the match would prove decisive for the outcome. When remaining Eagles' players arrived, teams appeared to be matched evenly. A goal from Sadowski in the 47th minute provided much hope but home side defended well and successfully protected one goal lead till the end.
