CMHL: Polish Hussars lose the final, again!

CMHL 2009. Polish Hussars 6, Italian Gladiators 2.

Polish Hussars have once again shown they're a team to be reconed with. By beating the Macedonian Lions 5-4, Hellenic Lightning 2-0, Italian Gladiators 3-2 and tying the Korean Tigers 3-3 in round robin, the Hussars earned the right to play in the elimination phase. Once there, they beat the Iroquois Silverhawks 6-3 and advanced to the semifinals where they defeated the Italian Gladiators 6-2. Reaching the final has become somewhat of a rule for Hussars and hopes were high for the Polish team. But the Irish Shamrocks had their own hopes and proved a force too strong for anyone this year, including the Hussars. The Irish showed some superior skating and stick handling, winning the final 5-0.
