Canadian National Exhibition, commonly referred to as 'The Ex', is the largest fair in Canada and one of the largest in North America with an annual attendance exceeding 1.3 million. The event takes place on 192 acres of Exhibition Place in Toronto over 18 days, starting mid August and ending on Labour Day.

Fair's origins date back to the 19th century, when Toronto was a centre for farming communities. Farming is still well represented at the event but so are other Canadian industries showcased in several pavilions. Midway rides, parades, shopping and international cuisine add fun to the fair, making it a top city event of the Summer.
